The camera and lens combination is calibrated by the experts at DCS, using the iWitness AutoCal calibration placards. The Sigma 18-50mm lens affords a versatile imaging system for both manual focus (fixed focal length for photogrammetry) as well as typical zoom and autofocus imaging.

The iWitness calibration process solves for the cameras internal orientation parameters to assure your camera is ready 'out of the box' so that you can begin high-accuracy and reliable measurement projects right away.

During the DCS calibration, the Nikon D60 camera is set to Manual Focus, with the Sigma lens focused at the infinity focus ring setting. The calibration allows the user to measure the majority of projects from camera-to-target distances of 2 meters to tens of meters in overall project length.

The Nikon D60 is easy to use with iWitness and iWitnessPRO.

All DCS digital SLR cameras and lens combinations are purchased direct from highly reputable Authorized Nikon Dealers. The cameras are class 1 merchandise, offering the manufacturers one-year warranty and all provided "kit" accessories from Nikon, (battery charger, battery, user manual, strap, warranty registration, etc.)
