Camera calibrations made fully automatic

iWitness - camera calibrations with 'one-click' processing

iWitness is now capable of fully automatic camera calibration using specially designed 'coded targets'. Following the recording of half a dozen or so images of the coded target array, the image-measuring phase of the photogrammetric calibration proceeds fully automatically. With a click of the "Begin" button, the calibration is carried out in a matter of seconds.

The iWitness camera database is then updated with the new calibration values, and the user can immediately apply their camera to routine iWitness measuring projects and extract optimum 3D measurement accuracy. The standard calibration process that has been featured in iWitness' earlier versions of iWitness remains as an integral part of the software program, as does self-calibration, and these can be used as alternative methods for conducting camera calibrations.
